Stellenbosch is located 49 km from Cape Town, the capital of the region. Easy access to this region is via Cape Town International Airport located 37 km from Stellenbosch.
While several international and national carriers service Cape Town International Airport directly, the bulk of international carriers fly via OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Cape Town is a two-hour domestic flight from Johannesburg and on average there are flights every half hour between the two cities with a variety of domestic carriers.
